Up The Hamsey!
Welcome to the website of Hamsey Rangers Football Club. We are a community club based in Warlingham, Surrey with teams playing in the Tandridge Youth League (Under 8 to Under 18), the Surrey County Girls League (Hamsey Wildcats at Under 13, Under 14 and Under 16) and two senior teams in the Redhill and District Sunday League.
The club was formed in 1994 and our home pitches are at the John Fisher Sports Ground, 192 Limpsfield Road, Warlingham, Surrey CR6 9RD. Teams train at a number of venues in and around the Warlingham area, including the astro-turf pitches at Warlingham School, Monks Hill Sports Centre and Whyteleafe Park during the week, and at Sanderstead Recreation Ground on Saturday mornings.
From humble beginnings we now run 23 teams and proudly claim to be probably the biggest club in the South East. For further information on Hamsey Rangers FC and our age group teams, please visit the different sections of our web site.
The last two seasons have been our most successful ever, with our Under 12's winning the Tandridge League A Division and our Seniors winning the Redhill and District League 4th Division title in 2006-07, as well as several Cup Final appearances and close run things in the promotion races at various age groups.
That meant that the bar was set very high for 2007-08 and last season surpassed our wildest expectations, with 3 divisional winners (The Under 13's retained their A Division title and the Under 18's won the Tandridge League's premier league competition), 4 further runners up and a proud moment for our club as our Under 11's became the first Hamsey Boys team to reach a Surrey Cup Final, narrowly losing out to AFC Wimbledon.
We encourage the highest standards of behaviour and sportsmanship amongst our players and have a number of coaches who are FA and even UEFA qualified, as well as an army of enthusiastic parents and volunteers who support the club in various capacities.
If you're a visiting team you'll be sure of a warm welcome at John Fisher on a Sunday matchday morning, with hot snacks available for the early risers and a licensed bar for those post-match debates!
