Warlingham School Sports Fair 2009

We were honoured to be invited by Warlingham School to exhibit our club as part of their inaugural Schools and District Sports Fair, held recently to coincide with the School's annual Open Day.

Our stand at the Fair created quite an impact and credit for this goes to Hamsey Rangers co-founder and current Committee member Jim Sherlock, who represented the Club and put our colourful display together. Those attending the Fair were able to see photos of our teams in action, get a close up look at some of our silverware and, of course chat to Jim about the Club, as well as taking away promotional literature produced especially for the event.

At the end of a busy day Jim called it, "an enjoyable day, meeting the school's staff, pupils and prospective parents and pupils, encouraging them to be involved with sport in general and Hamsey Rangers in particular, as well as other local sporting clubs and bodies. As a result of our involvement with this Fair, we hope we have begun to forge good links with the School, via the Head, Miss Woodhouse, the Fair co-ordinators and other members of their excellent PE Department and instructors and we're really excited about taking this forward as part of our commitment to Sport in the Community."

All in all, a good day.
