Sunday Round-up
10/5/10: Our Double chasing Under 12s picked up another 2 points on Sunday with a 4-1 win against Ridgeway at John Fisher, to leave them 2 points from the C Division title. At the same time, on the adjoining pitch, the Under 11s were putting Farleigh Foxes to the sword with an emphatic 7-1 win. Forget the events over at Stamford Bridge, John Fisher was the place for goals on Sunday!
Meanwhile, the Under 16A's are waiting on other results to confirm their runners-up position in the A Division to follow up their success in reaching the League Cup Final in what's been a great season. A 2-2 draw away to Balham Blazers means that they can still be caught by rivals Pease Pottage, with whom they are level on head to head scores. As soon as we have confirmed details of the final standings we'll let you know!

Sunday Round-up
5/5/10: A good weekend for our Double chasing Under 12's, who recovered from a goal down to beat rivals Westerham 2-1 on a wet and windy Sunday morning. They now need 2 wins from the last 3 games to clinch the C Division title. The Under 11's also kept alive their hopes of a 2nd place finish in the West Division with a 4-1 win at Warlingham Colts, while in the Redhill and District League, AFC fought out a creditable 1-1 draw against Champions Lower Kingswood to finish their debut season in Division 2 in 3rd place.
Keep an eye out next week for our Under 16 A's who, ever so quietly, have dragged themselves into the lead in the race for second place in the A Division behind Chipstead. They'll be looking for a result on the road to guarantee runners-up spot.

Update on Dogs at John Fisher

Please note, however, that owners will be held directly responsible for the behaviour of their dogs and so any disruption caused by a dog may result in sanctions against their owners. Sunday Round-up
28/4/10: Congratulations to our Under 15 District team who, without kicking a ball, have been confirmed as Runners-Up in the C Division with one game to play. Andy Walker's boys now have 2 successive promotions under their belts, so Well Done to them from everyone at the club.
Elsewhere, Shield Winners the Under 12's kept their hopes of a second successive divisional championship with a 4-1 home win against Barnet Wood, while the Under 11's won 3-2 away to Ex Blues to keep alive their hopes of a top 2 finish, although they will need to win their last 3 games to have any chance of overtaking Whyteleafe in second place.
At the other end, congratulations to the Under 15 B's, whose thumping 6-2 home win against West Wickham ensures their survival in the B Division, setting up the mouth watering possibility of THREE Hamsey teams in the same division next season, while there was also a good win for the Under 10s, 4-2 against Croydon, to give the boys a fighting chance of avoiding a bottom 2 finish in the D Division. The Under 18's won 3 points out of 4 in a double header against Sevenoaks to move them away from the bottom end of the table with games in hand.
Commiserations to the Under 14's, whose relegation was confirmed with a 3-1 defeat at Glebe, but in the Seniors, a narrow 4-3 defeat at Greenacres means that they will need to win their final game to give themselves a chance of survival in Redhill and District Division 3.

Sunday Round-up
20/4/10: While the Under 12's were winning the Shield, there were contrasting fortunes for our other teams on Sunday. The Under 15 B's sealed their survival in the battle to stay in the B Division with a superb 7-2 win against Chipstead, while the Under 15 A's suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Furngate which looks to confirm that the boys are going to have to surrender their League Title after 3 consecutive championships. Meanwhile Andy Walker's Under 15 District team drew their top of the table clash with South Bank 2-2 in the C Division, meaning that South Bank win the title, but Andy's boys are still in with a great chance of 2nd place.
Also on the promotion trail our Under 11's suffered a 2-1 home defeat to promotion challengers JDG. They're still in with a shout of promotion but they have it all to do to catch JDG and Whyteleafe.

18/4/10: Congratulations to Mick Leech's Under 12's who beat B Division Champions Seymour Villa 3-1 in today's Shield Final at Whyteleafe's Church Road ground. Following a goalless first half two second half goals from Simon and one from Sonny brought the Shield to John Fisher. Match report |

Brave U16A's miss out in Cup Final
16/4/10: Commiserations to our Under 16's, who went down 3-0 to Whyteleafe in the Tandridge League Cup Final at Church Road. In front of a good crowd, the boys went in 1 down at Half Time and, despite giving it a real go in the Second Half, 2 more quick goals gave Whyteleafe the trophy.
Full match report to follow. |

Sunday Round-up
11/4/10: Some excellent results from our junior age groups this Sunday! Result of the day came from our Under 11's who beat previously unbeaten Whyteleafe 9-1 away to keep themselves in the hunt for one of the promotion places in the West Division, while Mick Leech's Under 12's warmed up for next Sunday's Shield Final with a battling 3-2 home win against Westerham to keep them on course for the C Division title.
The Under 10's have given themselves a fighting chance of staying up in the D Division with a battling 2-2 draw against Coney Hall and in the Under 18's, 3 points out of 4 in a double header against Tatsfield Colts gives our lads a great chance of staying out of the bottom 2 in the A Division.

Well done Andy!
22/10/09: Many congratulations to AFC's Andy Morris, who was recently called up by the Redhill & District Sunday League for their Representative Team. It's a tremendous honour for the whole of Hamsey Rangers and bearing in mind AFC are a 2nd Division team it makes Andy's call up all the more note-worthy.
Congratulations again to Andy on his achievement.

Careful Parking Please!
15/10/09: Just to remind all our players, parents and supporters to please observe the parking restrictions in force around John Fisher and neighbouring clubs on Sundays. It's extremely important for us to co-exist peacefully with local residents and other clubs in the area, to ensure that emergency services can access the ground when required and to generally allow traffic to flow unimpeded along Limpsfield Road.
Thank You.
