Under 16
Hamsey's Under 16's play in the C Division of the Tandridge Youth League, having been promoted from the Central Division last season. The team is managed by Mark Courtney and Tony Couzens.
The team have developed from Under 8’s and still have two original members as well as many who have been around since the team was the Under 11’s. The manager got together with Graham Sutherland who ran both the A and B teams and decided to make a C team with so many players wanting to join Hamsey Rangers. This season, with both B and C teams making it to the C Division, the team has been rebranded as the Under 16's.
The squad in the past has had many ups and downs ranging from relegation to league runners up, pipped at the post on the count back system at Under 13 level. The current team finished 2nd in the league last season and only lost out to a penalty shoot out to Old Coulsdon Colts B 5-4 in a very thrilling and ultimately disappointing semi final of the Shield.

The Squad:-
Ben Lawson (Goalkeeper)
Ben came to join us this season from Addiscombe Corinthians; Ben is one of the best goalies we have ever encountered, and hope he is here to stay.
Charlie Banks (Centre Back & Captain)
This is Charlie’s 3rd season as captain, he his very solid player we call him the rock, he has been with the club since the under 8’s. Charlie is a great communicator with the team.
Sean Ryan (centre back)
A brilliant free kick taker has scored this and last season a couple of beautiful goals from the half way line. Sean came to join us from the A team a few seasons back.
Daniel Willis (Left back)
Daniel is a player who has had an up and down season, but his game this season has really come together, and he's playing very well.
Christopher Courtney (Right back)
Chris has been with the club since the Under 8’s. A great all round player, his game has improved season after season. Chris is the team’s most moaning player, but is good in the air, takes brilliant long throws and one of the best talkers in the team.
Ryan Leggett (left mid)
Ryan is a very strong and fast player with a great left foot, an asset to the team. Could be a little more talkative, but this season we have seen more aggression from Ryan.
Max Smith (Centre mid)
Max a new player who joined us this season from Whyteleafe. A very skilful player and a great asset to the team.
